blog images_0002_Layer 103Increasing numbers of people are enjoying the benefits of hot tub hire, either for parties, holidays or as an extended wet test before they invest in their own spa.

Hot tubs for hire.

You may have seen pictures of people enjoying the delights of a hot tub or read an article about how relaxing and healthy hot tub bathing can be.

You might have enjoyed a hot tub session at a friend’s house or in a hotel or particularly well-appointed holiday cottage.

But you still wonder what it would be like to own your own hot tub.

What would it be like sitting in a hot tub in your own garden?

Hiring a hot tub might be a good way to answer that question.

It is becoming increasingly easy to hire a spa and with dealers working up to a 100-mile radius, it seems very likely that there is a hot tub rental company that covers your area.

Wet test or special occasion.

Most people would recommend a wet-test before buying a hot tub and that does remain a good idea when you are choosing a specific model or design.

But sitting in a spa in a dealer’s showroom is not really the same as enjoying a hot tub on your own property.

Hiring a spa allows you to get a much better idea of how great that could be and how often you and your family or friends would use the tub.

If you are hiring on a ‘try before you buy’ basis, then some dealers may offer a package that includes some or all of the hire cost back when you purchase your own spa from them.

There are of course other reasons that people are hiring spas.

Soaking in a hot tub can be a great way to recover from joint and muscle injuries, sports injuries or some of the aches and pains of simple old age.

There might be a specific occasion that you think a hot tub would make really special? Hot tub hire is popular for birthday parties and anniversaries, students wanting to celebrate their ‘fresher’s week’, hen parties and New Year’s celebrations.

A week is normally the shortest hire period but quite often people choose to enjoy a spa at home for a month or more. And of course, many are so disappointed to see the hot tub go back that they decide to buy one of their own.

What should you consider before hiring a hot tub?

First of all, of course, you should make sure that you are hiring the spa from a reputable dealer.

Any piece of equipment that is on hire probably endures a harder life than most and hot tubs are no exception.

A reputable dealer will ensure that the hot tub is in good condition and well serviced. It is important that each customer gets a new filter for each hire session.

No matter how long or short the hire period is, the dealer should give you all details on health and safety as well as guidance and a practical demonstration on chemicals and water treatment.

If a hot tub is hired for a special occasion such as a party, it is likely to experience a particularly heavy bather load and so testing and balancing the water is especially important. You may choose to have the dealer carry out service visits during your hire period to ensure the water quality.

There are some practical, physical considerations that you should be aware of as well.

Because the hired hot tubs are being continually moved to different locations, most of the spas that are available for hire are the smaller units. Even having said that, one of the most important considerations is access to where you want the tub to be placed.

A good dealer will make sure that it is practical to get the spa to the site you have chosen and that that spot is safe and appropriate.

Hiring a hot tub can make an event really special or give you the spa experience while you recover from an injury or just enjoy a month of luxury.

It can also help you make up your mind that owning your won hot tub is, indeed, all it is cracked up to be.
